Darko Brings Home the Gold!

In July, 2011 local Photojournalist & Videographer, Darko Zeljkovicarko, was contracted by NATO to work on the documentary "Mladic, Srebenica and Justice." Darko travelled to Bosnia and Serbia and provided full news coverage of the anniversary of the infamous Srebrenica genocide. Coverage included intimate interviews with relatives of the massacred men and boys as well as with high ranking officials. It was recently announced that the documentary won gold at the World Media Festival in Hamburg, Germany under the category of "Global Issues". Darko, who learned of the win through NATO, was thrilled with the results. "I've dedicated my life to photojournalism, it is my passion and to see these types of results is incredible," said Zeljkovic. Darko and his wife, Charlene Cowling Zeljkovic have created many international documentaries, including documentaries in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Africa and Iceland.
