Tim Hortons Camp Day

Wednesday, June 2nd, was Tim Hortons Camp Day. Camp Day is one day each year when Tim Hortons Store Owners across Canada and the USA donate every penny from coffee sales to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation. Last year, Camp Day helped to raise more than $9.4 million CDN. Camp Day began in 1986 in Atlantic Canada when the Tim Hortons store owners rallied together to raise money to build the camp in Tatamagouchie, Nova Scotia. I dropped in at the Bell Blvd. "Timmy's" and found Community policing volunteers serving behind the counter and Belleville Fire Dept.'s Chief Fire Prevention Officer, Dave MacMullen, with Safety Timmy (provided by Bay of Quinte Safe Communities) outside greeting people at the drive through.
