Relay For Life Committee
Nicholson College Relay for Life
Nicholson College held its fourth "Relay for Life" on May 28th! Including this year's event, the total amount raised over the past four relays was over $100,000! Over 300 staff and students walked around the Buckley Field, just south of the school, from 6:00PM to 6:00AM. It was 12 hours of fun, friendship and fundraising to beat cancer! Mayor Neil Ellis brought words of greetings. Stirling Johnston, a survivor, presented a plaque to the student committee on behalf of the Canadian Cancer Society. Relatives of the students and staff who had beaten their own cancer were the ones who did the first lap - the Suvivor's Lap. The students were full of energy and enthusiasm! Congratulations to the student committee which organized this event.
