Family Winter Activity Day
Friends of the Frink Centre volunteers were on-site to take families on snowshoes hikes, build bird feeders and to cook hotdogs or bake bannock over a fire. Because of all the rain just before the deep freeze, the snowshoeing part was impractical, but there were lots of other activities. The Frink Outdoor Education Centre has 14 km’s of trails through various types of forest, and over an ecologically significant wetland. Visitors can hike along the Moira River, across a silver maple swamp and through a maple beech forest. Visit the Friends of the Frink Centre website at www.fofc.ca for more information.
