World Religion Day
The UN Association Quinte Branch, the Sons of Jacob Synagogue, the Belleville and Stirling Baha’i Community, and War Child Canada partnered together to host an event at the Sons of Jacob Synagogue to celebrate World Religion Day. The evening raised money to pay for damages to the Synagogue and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to War Child Canada, a registered Canadian Charity that provides humanitarian assistance to war affected children around the world. Representatives of Native, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Christian, Islamic and Baha'i spiritual traditions gave readings or short video presentations from their religious backgrounds. The event ended with refreshments.
