Probus Club 10th Anniversary
The Probus Club of Quinte celebrated the 10th Anniversary of its founding during its annual Christmas lunch at the Maranatha Church in Belleville. Sixteen out of 21 charter members of the club were there to receive 10-year commemorative pins. Probus is an association of retired and semi-retired persons from a wide variety of occupations in business, professional and health care organizations. The autonomous clubs are non-political, non-sectarian and non-profit. They do not raise funds nor take part in service activities. Probus has a vital purpose - to stimulate thought, interest and participation in activities, including social, at a time of life when it is easy to become complacent and self-centred.
