Orfea and the Golden Harp

Orfea and the Golden Harp was held on Saturday, February 20th. Families were invited to this production sponsored by the Canadian Federation of University Women Belleville and District and the Belleville Public Library to follow the adventures of Orfea, a young woman with a golden harp who travelled to a mythical land to save her grandfather. Along the way, she met some colourful characters from Western literature and mythology. Orfea discovered the origins of opera and its 400 years of history, with musical excerpts from Mozart, Handel, Bizet and other composers. Story telling was with Soprano, Baritone and Piano.
